This documentary short film highlights The Women’s Building in San Francisco, the country’s first women-owned and run community center. Inspired by the MaestraPeace mural on the building, the split-screen style constructs a collage of stories. While the central focus is an interview of an employee, the surrounding footage comprises multiple forms of transportation. Over time, the visuals and sound effects change to more localized movement, representing coming closer to the center.
